The damage was done in the first-half with clinical finishing from Bromley proving the difference. The Blues dominated large spells of the game but simply didn't take their chances. Chester could and probably should have been ahead with Craig Hobson missing two presentable opportunities.

Again it was an individual error that lead to the opener with Ben Heneghan mis-controlling a high ball, allowing Bromley's top-scorer Moses Emmanuel to net his tenth of the season with a superb finish past a helpless Jon Worsnop.

Bromley's second and third were both avoidable goals to concede and were sandwiched between guilt edge chances for the Blues with both Ross Hannah and Ian Sharps bundling over from close range.

The second half was much of the same with Chester creating great opportunities but lacking the killer ball.

In the end it was the quality of Bromley's topscorer Moses Emmanuel that proved the difference with the 11-goal striker deadly in front of goal.

Key Moment

The game was lost in the first half with the Blues failing to capitalise on some good opportunities early on. Hobson in particular could and probably should have put Chester ahead.

But it was the first bit of quality from Bromley that changed the face of the game with top scorer Moses Emmanuel pouncing on a Ben Heneghan mistake to curl home a well taken opener

Key Man

Emmanuel's goals were well taken and oozed confidence and class. He was ably assisted by the less glamorous Jack Holland who occupied the two Chester centre backs with his physicality.

What next?

The front two combined well at times for the Blues with Hobson causing problems with his running in behind. But it's in the middle of the park that has to be the concern for Burr. Too often his back four were left exposed with Rooney and Shaw too easily bypassed by the long ball and counter attack. Burr will surely need to strengthen that area with an extra man as he bids to tighten up the Blues defence

Verdict

There's no way Chester should have lost this game 3-0. The scoreline certainly flattered Bromley who played with the confidence of a side who had won five on the spin. The Blues will have to bounce back from this defeat and quickly.
