A PAIR of Everton youngsters are expected to be named in the England squad for the Under-20s World Cup.

The Young Lions boss Peter Taylor will name his squad for the finals in Turkey today with Ross Barkley and John Lundstram in line for a call-up.

England will be pitted against Iraq, Chile and Egypt in the group stages of the tournament in June and it appears that the Blues will be represented.

“There’s players on there like Ross Barkley of Everton, who has played for the first team this year, Lundstram, who is also at Everton but has been out on loan at Doncaster this year and James Ward-Prowse at Southampton,” said Taylor.

“There are players there who have a lot of experience playing with Premier League teams, so it’s looking all right at the minute. I am convinced they will have a great experience from this tournament.”

The tournament kicks off on June 23.
