Full time: Wrexham 0 Chester 0
Boos from the home side. A poor game but a decent point for Chester. Not for Mills.
Sigh
Durrell free-kick into the area and evades everyone. A real lack of quality in this game today from both sides.
Wow!
Chester fans chant ‘Rooney’ as he curls a 35-yard free-kick right at the corner flag.
Wrexham fans come to life
They’re getting behind their side now as Curtis Tilt goes on a marauding run from his own half before Astles challenges him.
Good spell from Wrexham
Chester need to ride out this little spell. Wrexham really probing here.
No end product
Chester moving it around ok but there is a lack of quality in the final third here. Durrell floats a cross that is too far for Shaw to reach.
Just wide
A decent move from the Blues sees Durrell turn 20 yards out and fire just wide. Better from Chester.
Bakare wide
Bakare breaks into the area but blasts wide from close range under pressure from Astles.
Dave Powell's half-time thoughts
So far this game looks every inch a game between two lower mid-table sides. It’s is lacking in quality at present but neither side have really been exposed too much. Wrexham have, though, had the better chances and have put some inviting deliveries into the box. Chester, on occasion, have looked good going forward but there is little end product and they haven’t tested Shwan Jalal in the Wrexham goal. John Rooney should have been shown a straight red for a lunge on Craig Mahon where both his feet left the ground. Chester need to up the ante in the first half and find a link between midfield and attack. It is lacking at present.
Half-time: Wrexham 0 Chester 0
Even stuff so far. Best chances have fallen Wrexham’s way, though.
Great play Lloyd
Midfielder back quickly to challenge Bakare who had broken free on the right.
Mahon down, Mahon down
Mahon writhes in agony as John Rooney steams into Craig Mahon. Booked.
Evades everyone
Carrington plays an excellent ball into the area but no Wrexham player attacks it. Thankfully.
