CHESTER Nomads missed the chance to open up a four-point lead at the top of the West Cheshire League Division Two on Saturday.


John Cadwallader’s impressive young side were seemingly on their way to a vital victory when Kieron Smith and Andy Fitzgibbon fired them into an early  two-goal lead in their  top-of-the-table clash with Ashville. But the second-placed visitors reduced the deficit 10 minutes before the break before grabbing a second-half equaliser.


Capenhurst Villa became the first  side to lose to rock-bottom Bronze Social in a 3-0 away defeat.


Helsby stopped their losing run by drawing 2-2 at home to Marine Reserves in Division One.


Andy Dunning bagged a brace for the fifth-placed Green Machine.


Upton AA were on the end of a harsh 5-1 home loss to table-topping West Kirby.
