JON Walters expects a rough ride from the Wrexham fans on Sunday.

The striker turned down the offer of a new deal from the Race-course club in favour of moving across the border to Chester this summer.

Walters knows this makes him public enemy number one in the eyes of the Dragons faithful - but he will take it in his stride.

He said: 'The stick doesn't bother me. If I'm playing, I will give 100% and no-one will get a free ride.

'Form goes out of the window for derby games and you know it's going to be a battle. You've got to win every header and win every tackle against your opponent.' He added: 'I still speak to a couple of the Wrexham lads.

'I've had a couple of texts saying 'you won't get a kick' but we'll see what happens on Sunday.'

Walters is one of three Chester players who turned out for Wrexham last season. The others are Dean Bennett and Paul Linwood, who spent a spell on loan at the Racecourse.
