AIRBUS UK crash landed at newly-promoted Cymru Alliance outfit Mynydd Isa on Tuesday.

Boss Gareth Owen was far from happy with his team's 3-2 loss in their latest pre-season friendly.

He said: 'There can be no excuses. The team we put out was a mixture of regulars and trialists. To be honest some players swam while others sank. It's as simple as that.

'We've got a few weeks to put things right and we will. I still have some irons in the fire but those that are available play their cards very close to their chests at this time of year.

'But we still hope to bring in a few new faces. However, I don't like being beaten. We play at a higher level than Mynydd Isa but you certainly wouldn't have said that on Tuesday evening.'

The Wingmakers travel to Holywell Town tomorrow for another friendly and Owen is expecting a stern test.

He said: 'It's now time to put things right. The players have to understand what we are trying to do.'

* The Wingmakers lost 2-1 at home to West Cheshire league outfit Heswall on Saturday.
