VAUXHALL host Hinckley United at Rivacre Park tomorrow hoping to avoid a fourth successive home defeat.

They went down 2-0 at home to Barrow on Tuesday after a promising start which failed to produce goals as Lawton and Wright were denied by the Barrow goalkeeper.

The deadlock was broken on 35 minutes when Ridley smashed the ball home from 25 yards and the Motormen escaped soon after when Knight hit the bar.

There were chances for both sides in the second half, Wright missing the target from long range and Forde hitting the post forBarrowwho doubledtheirleadnear the end when Knight's free-kick was deflected by goalkeeper Dittmer.

Vauxhall could have pegged a goal back seconds later when McDermott blasted over from the penalty spot following a foul on McNulty.

Vauxhall are having no such problems away from home, chalking up their 10th win on their travels on Saturday with a 2-0 success at Ashton United. Dawson put them ahead after only three minutes and Olsen headed the second goal on the hour.

Tomorrow's first visit of Hinckley to Rivacre Park will be special for Motormen chairman Alan Bartlam who was born in the Leicestershire town 52 years ago and lived there until he was 10. Hinckley made FA Cup headlines in December by holding Brentford to a 0-0 second round draw before losing in the replay 2-1.
