THE Motormen deserved better against a side that only managed to raise three attacks all afternoon.

This was a real smash-and-grab Nationwide North victory for the visitors, as the home side slipped to their fourth straight home defeat.

Decent early strikes by Noone and Woody-att for Motors were matched by smart saves by Whittle in the United goal. Hinckley took the lead on 36 minutes, as substitute Lewis was left to run into oceans of space and had time to pick his spot.

Just before the break the Motormen had strong claims for a penalty turned down for handball, following a goalmouth melee. Shortly after the restart, a "goal" by Cumiskey was ruled out for offside, which seemed particularly harsh.

Both Wright and Cumiskey went close to levelling in quick succession, before Barnes swept home a second on 85 minutes. Motors wasted another opportunity as Wright lobbed over.
