FRODSHAM United stayed the distance in the Chester & District League as they hit Newton Celtic with three goals in the second half.

Nothing separated the two teams going into the break, but strikes from Rob Cully, Steve Nixon and Dave Huby meant a 3-0 win for the visitors.

Hoole Rangers also added to their first-half tally as they beat Tarvin 2000 Athletic 3-1. John Winter scored for the hosts, but Nathan Freeman (2) and Pete Wheeler struck for Hoole.

Two teams conceded four goals at home. Kydds Athletic suffered as Andy Milne, Steve Finlay (2) and Andy Crawford netted, with a Mike Neary goal in reply. Blacon YC A took away a 4-2 win against Team Highfield through Nathan Armstrong, Ryan Williams and a Phil Hamilton brace.

Duddon Utd were locked in a 0-0 encounter when Highfield Athletic came to visit.

In the Chris Courtney Williams-Tom Gerraghty Memorial Trophy, Parkgate romped home with a 5-0 win against Section A opponents Bank of Scotland. Khalid-al-Samarraie bagged a brace and Kevin Connor's own goal added to the home side's misery.

AFC Bebington did better at home as Chris Drew scored twice after the break, pulling a 2-2 draw back from a 1-0 deficit to Barrow Athletic. Crossway could not match this feat, pulling one back in the second half against City Bar to end 4-2. Danny Brown and Aaron Edwards goals were not enough to match Danny Mitchell (2), Neil Mc-Carrick and Matty Beco. Robin Hood beat visitors Kelsall 2-1 through Greg Percival and Kevin Gilchrist.

In Section B, all the goals came after the break when Barrow Athletic 2nds beat Cestrian Alex 3-1. Mark Pugh struck twice alongside an own goal to beat Paul Finch's away strike.

Blacon YC Colts galloped over visitors Boughton Athletic, with four from Ben Connolly and strikes from Lee King-McGee and Steve Cunningham making it 6-2.

Chester Nomads 3rds edged past Helsby 4-3 through home braces from Kevin Dodds and Mike Locker. Sutton Way Villa could not do the same as they ended 3-3 with visitors Rangers Breaks. Ian Margieson, Mike Butterworth and Carl Dutfield struck for Rangers.
