THERE were no shock results at all in the Aldford Glass Cup second round as most ties went according to form.

Blacon Orient crumbled to a 5-0 home defeat against Dee Miller, Red Lion were beaten 3-0 by visitors MBNA and, to cap off a miserable day for the home sides, Stanley A fell 3-1 to Bull's Head with just a consolation penalty goal from Jordan Smith.

In Section A of the league, top side Debrella Mail's 100% record was finally halted as they were matched by Boughton in a thrilling 4-4 draw.

Strikes from Danny Desmoreaux, Chris Herbert (2) and an own goal for Mail were cancelled out by Paul Hollyfield (2), Dave Tills and another own goal.

Bottom side Grosvenor doubled their points tally for the season with a 1-1 draw at Watergate, Joe Wilson equalising for the hosts.

Lache A picked Lock Vaults open time and again as they cruised to a 7-2 win thanks to a hat-trick from Chris Donnelly plus strikes from Ryan Gilmartin, Aidy Callaghan, Eddie Shields and Leon Whitley. Tarvin Rex led 2-1 at half-time away to Shell Swan with goals from Andrew Woodward and Shaun Roberts but threw it away in the second half, losing 3-2.

Josh Carew, Dave Chidlow and Ben Billington were on target for Vicars Cross as they beat Saltney Ferry 3-1.

St Werburgh's grabbed their first win of the season in Section B as they defeated Waverton 3-2 away from home. Graham Allen, Carl Fowley and Johnny Harrison made sure of the win with Danny Kennedy and Terry Farrell replying for the home side.

Highfield continued their promotion quest with an Adam Langton brace to overcome Custom House 2-1. Darren Jones kept the hosts in touch.

Chester ISA turned the form book upside down as they vanquished Bear's Paw 7-0. Three from Nick Jones, two from Christian Jones and singles from Scott Ditchfield and Shaun Finch completed the rout.

Peacock scored an own goal to help high-flying Bache to a 3-1 victory in Section C. A Brett Gie brace guaranteed the win although Peacock netted at the right end as well through Dale Cooper.

Royal Oak showed no mercy to defeat Greyhound 6-2. Lee Edwards and Mike Bryant scored for the home side but were eclipsed by Nathan Mapletoft's hat-trick, Craig Anderson's brace and a strike from Alan Richardson.

Black Dog and Bromfield could not be separated as Andy Austin and Gary Taylor cancelled out two strikes by Bromfield's Steve Kirkness.
