TWO teams with very different records meet in Division One tomorrow when Blacon YC face a daunting trip to leaders Runcorn Town.

The Chester side, who have won once this season and lost their other 17 league games, take on a team who have lost just once all campaign.

While Blacon’s home match with Aintree Villa was postponed last Saturday, Christleton were busy drawing 2-2 at defending champions West Kirby. A Steve Finley double ensured the Swans shared the spoils.

After their game against Halton was postponed on Saturday, Upton hope to pick up their title chase with a win at Poulton Victoria tomorrow. Upton currently lie second, nine points behind Runcorn with a game in hand.

In Division Two, Chester Nomads were beaten 1-0 at New Brighton by a Graham Edge strike.

Helsby downed home side Bronze Social 2-1 thanks to goals from Alan Bond and Gaz Gerard.

Tom McGill scored for Capenhurst Villa but they lost 3-1 to visitors Mossley Hill Athletic.

Division Three saw Christleton Reserves emulate their senior side, claiming a point in a 1-1 draw at home to Marshalls. Steve Morgan was on target for the Swans’ second string.

Blacon YC Reserves fell to a 3-1 loss at Focus, Dave Williams, Nathan Rodway and a Steve O’Rourke penalty eclipsing Todd Reid’s Blacon goal .

Upton AA Reserves cruised to a 4-0 victory over visitors Southport Trinity Reserves.
