Steve Burr celebrates one year as the manager of Chester FC this weekend and it's certainly been an eventful 12 months.

Here we look back at some of the key moments of his time at the Swansway Chester Stadium so far, starting with his appointment on January 18 last year.

Burr inherited a team that was in trouble at the wrong end of the table and for a long time it looked like he would achieve his mission of keeping them in the Conference Premier. However, there was heartbreak on the final day of last season as Hereford United scored a late winner at Aldershot Town, meaning the Blues' 2-2 draw with Salisbury City was not enough to keep them out of the bottom four.

Yet six weeks later that relegation was overturned when debt-ridden Hereford were expelled from the Football Conference and Chester were reinstated into the Conference Premier.

Chester kicked off the current season with a new-look squad yet the August optimism was shattered as Barnet inflicted a brutal 5-0 battering on the opening afternoon.

Thankfully results soon picked up and, although there have been some disappointments along the way, the campaign to date has been pleasing on the whole.
