LINNETS Independent Supporters' Trust believe Runcorn FC will fold at the end of the season unless 'something drastic' happens.
And despite their offer to buy Dr Dave Robertson's shares being dubbed 'irrelevant' by the football club's chairman in the Weekly News, the fans group say they still believe the only way of saving the club is for supporters to take it over.
And LIST is challenging the people and businesses of Halton to prove they want a football club.
'It's stand up and be counted time,' said Martin Fallon, director of communications for LIST.
'The football club is on its last legs and will fold at the end of the season if something drastic is not done.
'We have spoken to individuals and companies that have said they would support the club, both on the terraces and financially, but only if the club was under new ownership.
'We are now saying to the people of Halton to stand up and prove it.
'Get in touch with LIST and pledge what you would give if we were in control. If you would give money, then get in touch and tell us how much you would give. If you would simply return to support the club at games, then get in touch and tell us that.
'We will provide the football club chairman with this information to show what support the club would have if supporters were in charge. It would then be up to him to decide the club's future.'
