AN interested spectator at the Premier Reserve League match between Manchester City and Everton at Ewan Field last night was the Chester City boss Mark Wright.

Wright was watching the Mancunians' Liverpool-born midfielder Chris Shuker, who could be brought in as a replacement for Jon Brady who left earlier this week to take up a coaching appointment with Premiership Arsenal.

Shuker, 21, who scored last night, has first team problem. rience with City and was loaned to third division Rochdale earlier this season.

City chairman Stephen Vaughan said last night: "Chris Shuker is one of a couple of options we are looking at. The lad has a great future ahead of him in the game, and if Mark and myself were to take the matter further it would be on a temporary loan arrangement. However, we have a couple of other players that we have identified, so Mark and I will hopefully finalise a replacement for Jon Brady in the next day or so."

City's reserve team are in action this evening, when they face Guisley in a Lancashire League fixture at Flint Town's ground, kick-off 7.30pm.
