ON-LOAN Ryan Semple says he is settling in at Chester well already and says he is enjoying working Mark Wright because: 'it's good to feel wanted'.

The winger has been a transfer target for Wright for some time but the Chester boss missed out in the summer when Lincoln signed him from Peterborough.

'The gaffer has been interested for a long time and has been knocking on the door for a while. Peterborough didn't let me come then I moved to Lincoln in the summer, but he stuck by me and showed me that he likes me and that he wants me. It's good to feel wanted.'

Now the promotion-chasing Imps have released Semple, who recently suffered a hamstring injury, on a month's loan at the Saunders Honda Stadium and he is looking forward to a hectic period of football.

'I just want to play games and there are a lot of games coming up,' he said.

'I have settled quickly, thanks in part to Jamie Hand who I was with at Peter-borough and who I am staying with.

'It's easier to stay with a mate than live in a hotel and I am enjoying it.

'The lads are all sound and it is a good club. Would I like to make the move permanent? We'll see because the manager has to decide at the end of December or beginning of January what he wants to do before I can make my decision.

'Football is funny, things change so quickly. Even my move was rocky as I was coming, then I wasn't, then I was again.

'It shows that to look too far in advance is silly. I'm here to play games. I didn't feature much against Boston but that's not a bother to me because there are a lot of games still to come while I'm here.

'I know I'm going to get games here over the Christmas period and I'm looking to make my mark here.

'I'm disappointed I can't play tomorrow but I understand it from Lincoln's side because, in the past, players have been on loan and come back to haunt their clubs.

'It's not really an issue for me, I do what the club say but next week is Peterborough and I'm looking forward to that.'
