SEAN Hessey was given his first competitive outing of the season on Wednesday as the Blues' reserves drew 1-1 with Manchester City.

The centre-back, who was suspended for the first five games of the season, was substituted at half time in the Saunders Honda Stadium stalemate.

The visitors went 1-0 early on but Mark Cadwallader equalised with a header from a Simon Marples cross.

Chester's second string visit Buckley Town's Globe Way Stadium on Monday for a mini-derby against Wrexham. Kick-off is 7pm and admission is £3 for adults and £1 for children.
