EVERTON in the Community and Alder Hey scored a brace at the recent Patient Experience Network National Awards.
The Blues’ disability development programme, run in partnership with the children’s hospital, was named winner in the ‘Support for Caregivers, Staff and Family’ category before being announced as the ‘Overall Winner’ for 2012. The awards recognise excellence in patient experience with over 240 hospitals entered.
Alder Hey and Everton in the Community recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of their partnership to improve the health and wellbeing of patients. Steve Johnson, sisability manager at Everton in the Community, said: “We are passionate about bringing happiness to the lives of children who are being treated in hospital.
