A SECOND-ROUND Chester FA Cup clash ended in Blacon YC Reserves putting four past City Bar on Saturday.

Goals from Danny Wynne, Simon Quinn, Scott Orman and Damien Rowley ensured a second-half Matt Decosta brace wasn’t enough for the Bar men.

Chester Nomads 4ths left it late against Crossway with an extra-time winner to book their place in the third round. Tony Ellams, Ashley DeVere Davey, Mickey Carroll and Brian Croft did the damage for the Nomads as they won 4-3.

Highfield Athletic destroyed Duddon Utd 4-0 after a Chris Larson brace and a goal each from Adam Langton and Ross Broadbent.

Tarvin Athletic’s Matty Edwards celebrated a hat-trick as they beat Highfield Athletic 2nds in an emphatic 8-1 win. Stuart Davies scored a consolation goal for Highfield who were 5-1 down at half- time. Tarvin’s other scorers were Adam Crimes (2), Gary Hanley, Dave Burtenshaw and Danny Matthews.

Hoole Rangers were given a helping hand as they beat Newton Bears 2-1 thanks to an early own goal. Paul Roberts put Rangers ahead while Darren Holmes scored the Bears’ solo effort.

A 9-1 victory against Chester Nomads 6ths saw Upton AA Reserves safely through to the next round in a glut of goals. A Simon Andrews hat-trick and braces for Gary Andrews and Dave Roberts were added to by Mark Thompson and an own goal. Simon Taylor scored a consolation goal for Nomads.

Chester Nomads 2nds beat West Meters 4-2 after a Martin Moore double and Joe Imlach and Paul Harris goals. John Lawrence and Dan Roden scored for home side West Meters.
