FOUR players are being linked with a move away from Chester City as Mark Wright begins his January clear-out.

The Blues manager wants to reshape his squad during the transfer window and any new signings must be balanced by players leaving.

Veteran pair Paul Butler and Tony Dinning have been offered to Blue Square Premier strugglers Northwich Victoria, while midfielder David Mannix may be sold back to his old club Accrington Stanley.

Chester also confirmed this week that striker/midfielder Eddie Johnson had been the subject of a transfer enquiry from American club Austin Aztecs, who are coached by former Everton forward Adrian Heath.

Chester-born Johnson, 24, has made just 11 appearances for the Blues since completing a protracted transfer in October.

Chester travel to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday (3pm) and Blues supporters can purchase discounted tickets from the Deva Stadium this week.

The tickets – which offer a saving of £2 on match-day prices – are £16 for adults, £11 for over 65s and students with ID, £9 for juniors (aged 12-16) and £3 for children (11 and under).

The Deva Stadium ticket office is open from 10am-4pm Monday to Thursday, and 10am-noon on Friday. Fans should note that the tickets are not available from the club shop on Watergate Street.

Saturday’s match is not all-ticket for away supporters.
