United striker Dimitar Berbatov confirmed he is ready for an Old Trafford exit – but says a move to Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t materialised yet.

United chief Sir Alex Ferguson has made it clear the Bulgarian is surplus to requirements. But Berbatov said: “It is not true that I am looking for a house in France.

“When I get to know where I will play, the fans will be informed, too. Nothing specific is known right now. There is no point in staying where I am if I do not get to play on a regular basis.

“I have not left Manchester yet, since I have a contract with the team,” added the former Tottenham striker, who joined the Reds for £30m in 2008.
