DEBRELLA Mail transferred their strong league form into the Aldford Glass Cup round three.

They defeated Lache 6-2 thanks to a Chris Herbert hat-trick, a double from Tom Rowlands and a Danny Desmoreaux strike. Paul Davies and Joey Waters responded for Lache.

Tarporley pulled off the shock of the round, defeating Waverton 2-1 in extra time. Craig Poole and Tom Martin scored to send the Section C giant-killers into the quarter-finals.

Boughton saw off a spirited Watergate side 4-3. Paul Hollyfield scored a brace and Dave Tills and Kev Garland added to it. Boughton had a scare, though, as two strikes from Luke Jackson and one from Mark Ashford left the game balanced on a knife-edge.

Section AteamLockVaults wereruncloseby Section C Bromfield as the higher-division opposition won 3-2. Steve Kirkness and a Paul Nelson penalty kept the visitors in touch but Vaults hung on to the lead give them by Justin Rowlands, Will Dodd and James Stevenson's goals.

Royal Oak won't be in the quarter-final draw after losing 4-0 at home to MBNA. Highfield had two sent off as Dee Miller progressed with a 4-0 win thanks to goals from Simon Andrews (2), James Andrews and Jamie McCalwein.

In the league, Upton saw Rhys Nevitt score four as they beat fellow Section B title challengers Dee Rangers 6-0. Patrick Walsh hit the other two.

Chester ISA pulled away from Corner Pin, winning 2-1. Tom Brennan and Matt Warren secured the points for ISA, Dave Gregson scoring Pin's goal.

Custom House and St Werburgh's were inseparable. Dan Holler and Carl Fowlie struck as the match ended 1-1.

In Section C, Bache took top spot by beating Tattenhall 3-1. Brett Gie scored twice and Stu Williams killed the game off with the third. Peacock travelled to Greyhound and came away with a creditable 1-1 draw. Lee Edwards scored for the home side but Peacock's Lee Woodward grabbed a share of the spoils.
