LIVERPOOL striker Fabio Borini is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering a dislocated shoulder in Liverpool's 5-0 win over Swansea City at Anfield.

The Italy international, who came off the bench to replace Luis Suarez, had only been on the pitch for seven minutes when he landed heavily on his shoulder.

Borini screamed out in pain and was swiftly led down the tunnel for treatment.

Boss Brendan Rodgers said: “He will probably be out for the season. It looks like he's dislocated his shoulder.

“It's unfortunate. It's actually the other shoulder to a similar injury he had when he was at Chelsea. It looks like in the early stages that is the diagnosis.”
