Chester FC will host the Under-21 Premier League Cup between Leeds United and Liverpool on Monday (7.30pm).

The fixture was scheduled to take place at Harrogate Town's CNG Stadium on the same evening, but the Premier League have ruled the Wetherby Road pitch will be unable to meet the required standard to host the game

As a result, the match will now be played at the Lookers Vauxhall Stadium where Liverpool have staged a number of fixtures over the past couple of seasons.

Harrogate officials have expressed their disappointment at the decision.

Garry Plant, the club's managing director, said: "I walked the pitch this morning (Tuesday) with the Premier League representative and whilst we respect their position, we are all very disappointed for the supporters and for the Leeds Academy set up."
