Here's how Chester FC reporter Jim Green rated the team's performance in the 1-0 win over Lincoln City at Sincil Bank on Saturday .

Jon Worsnop 7: Another clean-sheet and a relatively straightforward afternoon as the Imps managed just two shots on target. Confidence a massive asset for goalkeepers and he looks full of it.

Ryan Higgins 7: A little more restrained than normal and handled Lincoln's biggest danger Ben Tomlinson well. Caught out once or twice but his pace, a great attribute for a full-back helped him recover and he has been an excellent addition.

Ben Heneghan 9: Man of the match before succumbing to a dead leg with 12 minutes remaining. Dominant in the air, quick enough across the ground and can play a bit too. Getting him tied down to a new contract would be a smart move.

Michael Kay 8: Has developed a fine partnership with Heneghan and it's a shame an unfortunate booking for taking exception to a reckless challenge will bring that pairing to an end.

Gareth Roberts 8: No doubt that on the standard of his performances so far the veteran full-back should certainly be considering keeping for boots on for another season. Class act.

Brad Abbott 8: Not the easiest game in which to make an impression but together with Rooney won the battle in the engine room. Uses the ball well and has a maturity beyond his years.

John Rooney 8: As with Abbott, not really his kind of game but it says a lot for his form at the moment that he still managed to have a notable influence. Pressure of competition has kicked him on.

Craig Mahon 7: A quite afternoon for both wingers with a lack of space and a bobbling surface far from ideal. Worked hard, as always, and managed a couple of weaving runs.

Sean McConville 8: An outstanding goal capped off another impressive display from one of the quiet performers. Lincoln didn't really get to grips with his movement in the space between midfield and attack.

Matty Hughes 7: Still no closer to finding that elusive first goal in his second coming but has a fantastic attitude and showed a couple of deft touches.

Oliver McBurnie 8: Took a bit of a battering off two big centre halves but never wavered and laid on the decisive goal brilliantly for McConville. Fingers crossed his stay can be extended.

Substitutes

Kieran Charnock 7: Replaced an injured Heneghan at what might have been a difficult time yet coped very well and slotted straight into the back four.

Kane Richards 6: Switched flanks and a lively contribution from a player who will be better for each minute he gets on the pitch.

Kingsley James 5: Late substitution to provide extra cover in midfield and helped the team see the game out.
