A GRITTY away win over Spurs and another last-gasp victory over Crystal Palace were Sheedy’s performances of the season so far.

The Blues coach says his side’s opening result, a 1-0 win against Tottenham, and that FA Youth cup success sum up what he wants to see more often.

“We defended robustly against Spurs. Kept it really tight and then nicked a goal with a Chris Long strike. I was delighted with that,” says Sheedy.

“We defended well against Palace too, and my other highlight was the game against Blackburn, when although we conceded three, we actually showed a lot of spirit and played some lovely stuff to come back into it.”
