Keep the home fire buring urges Liverpool FC boss Brendan Rodgers

LIVERPOOL boss Brendan Rodgers is looking for more home comfort when his side entertain Norwich City tomorrow.

The Reds have emphatically won their past two matches at Anfield with Fulham (4-0) and Sunderland (3-0) ruthlessly brushed aside.

“We know it’s going to be a tough game as Norwich will come and hope to replicate the performance they put in at Anfield last season when they got a draw,” Rodgers said.

“But we’re at home and we want to continue our good form there. We’re hoping 2013 will bring us a lot more joy at Anfield.

“We’ve had some terrific performances so far this season but consistency has been our biggest downfall. We want to improve in every game and I think the second part of the season will be better.”

The Reds thrashed Norwich 5-2 away in September but Rodgers believes Chris Hughton’s side are now a tougher proposition.

“This season they picked up after the win we had at Carrow Road,” he added.

“Chris and his staff have done a brilliant job in terms of making the team harder to beat. They went 10 games unbeaten which was a great feat considering how they started.

“They’ve got some outstanding players. Grant Holt is a fighter up front and has quality, Anthony Pilkington is a threat, Robert Snodgrass is a very good technician and Wes Hoolahan is obviously a threat in behind that.”
