KARL O'Donnell's goal 15 minutes from time earned the Motormen a point at Rivacre Park on Saturday.

The striker converted substitute Tom Field's right-wing cross to earn a share of the spoils.

The hosts had grabbed the lead with their first attack on 11 minutes, when Alan Griffiths provided a perfect through-ball for Anthony Wright to chip over the advancing Danny Haystead.

But from there on in until the later stages, the Knitters dominated.

Home keeper Sean Lake made two terrific saves to deny Matt Redmile and the impressive Neil Cartwright, while Richard Lavery saw his effort clip the top of the Motors bar.

The visitors drew level on 43 minutes when Cartwright's free kick from out wide deceived everyone to nestle in the corner of the net.

On the hour mark, the Knitters went 2-1 up, Leon Jackson powerfully heading home another Cartwright free kick.

O'Donnell's strike made it all square and both sides went close to netting a winner late on.
