A RAMPANT Joe Williamson tore into visitors St Theresa's as Watergate won 6-2 in the Chester & District Sunday League.

After striking in the first half, he took away a four-goal haul, alongside a brace from Luke Jackson.

Dee Miller got the better of a second-half tussle after going into the break 1-1 with visitors Vicars Cross.

Will Kelly scored for Dee and Danny Andrews got the winner with his second to end 3-2.

Neither hosts Lache Athletic or Grosvenor could break the deadlock in the first half, but the floodgates opened with five second-half goals to end 4-1. Chris Donnolly, Eddie Shields, Matty Dupree and Leon Whitley scored the home goals.

Tarvin Rex were the only side not to win at home in Section A. Max Astbury scored but it ended 3-1 to Lock Vaults.

Section B saw two home defeats. Chester ISA sent Stanley A crashing 5-0 through Nick Jones, Tom Brennan, Graham Reynolds, Mark Fitzpatrick and Matt Warren. Custom House also lost 3-2 to Dee Rangers. Highfield held on to top spot in a surprise draw at home to St Werburgh's. Adam Langton netted for Highfield.

The Section C clash between Bulls Head and Tattenhall saw 11 goals fly in. Home team Bulls got the better of the encounter ending 7-4. Greyhound were struck dumb with a home defeat to Red Lion, who scored four without reply. MBNA fared better at home as Steve Sewell, John Dowdswell and Ben Irwin netted to end 3-0 against Tarporley Wanderers.

Table-toppers Royal Oak also won at home, 6-1 against Pace Telecom. Nathan Mapletoft left with a hat-trick and Owen Waddilove bagged the reply.
