THERE was an incredible encounter in the Premier Division as Team Highfield shared a 6-6 draw with Newton Athletic.

Highfield trailed 5-2 with 15 minutes to go and led 6-5 with just two minutes left on the clock, only for Newton to steal an equaliser.

Dave Burgen, Gary Ellams, Adam Langton, Andy Bale and an own goal were on target for Highfield, while Newton's marksmen were Ian Riddler (2), Mark Dutton (2), Darren Holmes and Gareth Axon.

Russell Whitley and Shane Crimes were on the scoresheet to give leaders Blacon YC Reserves a 2-0 win at Waggon and Horses.

While Kydds Athletic drew 0-0 with Cestrian Alex, second-placed Hoole Rangers were held to a 2-2 draw at home to third-placed Tarporley Vics.

Aaron Brown and Eddie Partington cancelled out goals from Rangers' Peter Wheeler and Nathan Freeman.

There was a high-scoring encounter at Duddon United, where the hosts drew 4-4 with Barrow Athletic.

Billy Nelson (2), Sean Roberts and Stuart Johnson were on the mark for United, with Matt Williamson (2), Steve Brown and an own goal accounting for Barrow's tally.

In Division One, leaders Team Highfield lost their first game of the season in spectacular fashion.

They fell to a 5-1 loss at Bebington Athletic, their only goal coming from Scott Broadbent.

Men Male scored Barrow Athletic's consolation in their 4-1 home defeat to Bank of Scotland while Mark Powell (2) and Andy Parker scored for Chester Nomads Seconds in their 3-0 triumph over Blacon YC A.
