TORQUAY manager John Cornforth is refusing to dwell on the past as he prepares his side for tomorrow's six-pointer with the Blues.

The Gulls slipped to the bottom of the table on Saturday after a dismal 2-0 home loss to Mansfield Town.

The Stags, ironically, are the only team Chester have managed to defeat in the last three months.

Torquay boss Cornforth wants his players to forget the Mansfield result and focus all their attention on their trip to the Saunders Honda Stadium.

He said: 'I wasn't happy after Saturday but now we've got to go and try and win at Chester.

'It's no good looking back in football, you've got to look forward and enjoy the challenge ahead and the next match is always the priority - especially after a defeat.'
