EIGHT Rights fell to their first defeat of the season when they crashed out of the Aldford Glass Sunday Cup.

The in-form Section C outfit were no match for top flight side Grosvenor, who eased into round three thanks to goals from Mark Houghton, Will Collins and Simon Broadbent.

Four goals from Rhys Nevitt fired Upton YC to a 4-3 win over Custom House, while strikes from Carl Fowlie (2) and Gaz Breeze steered St Werburgh's to a 3-0 win over Black Dog.

Stanley Arms were the day's biggest scorers, defeating Tattenhall 8-1 with Jim Thompson (2) and Ian Smith (2) among the goals.

Delap Gulzar and Carl Johnson were on target in the second half to help Bache record a 2-1 victory over Egerton Arms. nIn the Sunday League Cup, Dee Rangers moved into round three with a 1-0 win at Duddon.
