Craig Mahon's clever finish in time added on sealed a deserved win for the Blues, who came from a goal down to beat Alfreton Town 2-1.

Tom Shaw gave the Reds the lead against the run of play on 15 minutes but the home side levelled on 30 minutes through Matty Hughes.

Chester dominated the game but spurned some excellent chances and Alfreton looked to have held on for a point when Mahon flicked Jamie Menagh's cross home to snatch the win.

The Chronicle photographer Ian Cooper and Ben Taylor captured the best of the action.
