A PENALTY shoot-out decided the tie between Frodsham and Vicars Cross after their 2-2 draw in round two of the Dale Recycling Solutions League Cup.

Lee Ireland scored twice in normal time for Frodsham who won the shoot-out 5-4.

In round three, Lock Vaults lost 4-1 at home to Castrol Swan in extra time after it finished 1-1 in the 90 minutes. Justin Rowlands scored for Vaults.

Saltney Ferry triumphed in another shoot-out against Custom House after drawing 3-3 in normal time.

Scott Tasker (2) and Warren Kelly scored for Ferry while Andy Shelton and Rob Pickering netted for Custom House.

Western Rangers triumphed over Ring O’Bells with a 2-1 win thanks to a Nick Henderson penalty and a Ritchie Deponio strike.

In Section A, Blacon S&S beat Dee Rangers 7-4. Goals from Kennedy (2), McNamara and Jeffs couldn’t save Rangers.

Dee Miller hammered Tarvin Rex 6-1 with free- flowing goals from Danny Andrews (2), Danny Stephenson (2), James Andrews and Luke Jackson.

In Section B, Bank of America drew 2-2 with Boughton Hall.

Jay James and Graham Hughes netted for Bank of America while Steve Brown and Stu Williams scored for Boughton Hall.

A goal-heavy encounter between Highfield and Upton YC ended 5-3 to Highfield. Adam Langton (2), Chris Larson (2) and Scott Broadbent were their scorers.

Waverton suffered a 6-1 trouncing at the hands of Bromfield. A Chris Farnell goal was all they could give in answer to four strikes from Bromfield’s Steve Kirkness and goals by Andy Robinson and Liam Durcan.
