Steve Burr has been impressed at Forest Green Rovers' blistering start but the Chester FC boss maintains his team have nothing to fear tomorrow (3pm).

A perfect record of seven wins from seven during August has seen Ady Pennock's side open up a four-point lead at the top of the Vanarama National League.

The Blues have lost all four meetings with Rovers since reforming and were thumped 4-1 last time the clubs faced each other in April.

However, Burr's side have been beaten just once themselves this season and he views this game as a chance to gauge how much improvement has been made.

He said: "Forest Green are beatable. They've had a formidable start to the season and Ady Pennock's done a terrific job there getting a squad together that looks like they're really going to push for getting out of this division.

"It's a good challenge for our lads that's for sure. We had two very tough games against them last season, they've improved this year so we know how difficult it's going to be on.

"It will be one of those tests for us to see how far we've come in the last 12 months."

Chester picked up four points over the bank holiday weekend, following up a last-gasp 2-1 win at Macclesfield Town with an uninspiring 1-1 draw at home to Guiseley AFC.

Burr was disappointed with that performance but expects a better showing tomorrow with Josh O'Hanlon, a promising striker borrowed from AFC Bournemouth, in line for his debut.

Craig Hobson (ankle) won't feature but Luke George (toe) will return while there's a chance Ross Hannah (hamstring) could be involved.

Burr said: "Monday was definitely one of our poorer performances this season, but in saying that when we got in front I really thought we'd go on and win the game.

"It was disappointing that we didn't pick the three points up but on the day I think we didn't perform very well and we looked a little bit heavy legged and slow in our build up."

"We've picked up an injury to Craig Hobson who's going to be missing for a couple of weeks. His work-rate is unbelievable, he's a smashing lad to work and I thought he was magnificent at Macclesfied so it's a big blow for us and for him especially.

"Ross is not too far away from full fitness. I'd like to think we'd have him back for Saturday but we'll go with the medical team and they'll advise us and Ross will have a good idea, but it's important that with him being so close we don't rush him and have a set back."

Kane Richards made his first start since March on Monday and the rapid 21-year-old could keep his place on the left wing, although Burr wants to see a better end product from the forward.

Burr said: "Kane's an exciting player and he's got a lot of pace. Always when he gets on the ball there's a buzz of what he can do but he's still searching for that first goal

"He's been close a few times but it's important as strikers you need to be scoring goals and we haven't been scoring enough goals."
