Welsh Premier League club Airbus UK Broughton have signed ex-Chester FC favourite Matty McGinn.

Free kick specialist McGinn scored 22 goals in 84 appearances for the Blues, winning the Evo-Stik Premier Division and Conference North championships.

His striker against Northwich Victoria which secured promotion to the Conference North ranks as one of the most memorable moments of the fan-owned club's remarkable rise through the leagues.

Work commitments saw him move to AFC Telford United last summer and he celebrated another Conference North title with the Bucks.

But the 31-year-old left back cannot commit to the extra travel in the Conference Premier and has now joined the Wingmakers.

Airbus manager Andy Preece has added Conwy Borough striker Ellis Healing to his squad too as the Broughton-based club prepares to compete in Europe for the second season running.
