EVERTON’S opening Premier League fixture of 2012/13 against Manchester United will take place on Monday night, after Sky and ESPN announced their live fixtures for the first four months of the campaign.

The Blues will welcome Alex Ferguson’s side to Goodison Park for an 8pm kick-off on Monday, August 20, live on Sky Sports.

Liverpool’s first televised game, meanwhile, will be against Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, August 26, kick-off 4pm.

That game is one of three Reds home fixtures in a row to be screened on Sky before the end of September.

Brendan Rodgers’ men will also welcome Arsenal on Sunday, September 2 (1.30pm), and take on Manchester United on Sunday, September 23 (1.30pm).

Everton, too, will have successive Sky games during September, hosting Newcastle United on Monday, September 17 (8pm), before making the long trek to Swansea City on Saturday, September 22 (12.45pm).

Liverpool also face an early start at Swansea, with a kick-off of 12.45pm scheduled for Saturday, November 24.

That fixture, however, could be subject to change, depending on the Reds’ involvement in the Europa League group stage.

UEFA have scheuled fixtures to take place on Thursday, November 22, meaning the Reds’ trip to south Wales is likely to be put back 24 hours.

The Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Saturday, October 27 (12.45pm kick-off), is another fixture that could be rescheduled, with Europa League games due to take place two days before.

Should the Reds reach the group stage, that game will be moved to Sunday, October 28, with a kick-off of 1.30pm.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have confirmed that they will travel to Tottenham for a fixture on Wednesday, November 28 (8pm), and that they will return to north London for another midweek fixture on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 (7.45pm).

Liverpool have also announced their fixtures at home to Stoke City on Saturday, October 6, and away to West Ham United on Saturday, December 8, will be moved back 24 hours should they qualify for the group stage of the Europa League.

Everton confirmed that their home game against Tottenham has switched from Saturday, December 8, to Sunday, December 9 (3pm), because of Spurs’ involvement in the Europa League.
