Gap Connah's Quay Nomads have drawn Norwegian side Stabaek in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.

Andy Morrison's side were handed a tie against the Norwegian Tippeligaen side, managed by ex-Scotland international Billy McKinlay, at the draw for the competition at Uefa headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, today.

Welsh Premier League side Nomads, who are in European competition for the first time after finishing fourth last season and winning the play-offs, include a number of former Chester FC players in their ranks.

George Horan, Danny Harrison, Wes Baynes, Callum Morris and John Danby are among the Nomads squad that will be facing the Norwegians on June 30.

Stabaek boss McKinlay had a short-lived spell as Watford manager in 2014 before following ex-Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes to Real Sociedad in November of that year, leaving with Moyes in November 2015.

Nomads' Welsh Premier League rivals MBi Llandudno have been drawn against Swedish side IFK Goteborg while Bala Town will play AIK Solna.
