Chester teenager Ben Woodburn hailed a 'dream come true' after he made his professional debut for Liverpool.

The 17-year-old from Tattenhall came on in the 89th minute of Liverpool's 2-0 Premier League win at home to Sunderland at Saturday.

In doing so Woodburn became the third youngest player in the club's history to represent the Reds at 17 years and 42 days.

Afterwards the highly rated striker, who signed his first professional contract with the Reds last month, took to Twitter to express his feelings.

Woodburn will now be hoping to play some part in Liverpool's EFL Cup quarter-final at home to Leeds United tomorrow.
