Tarporley Vics 4 Broadheath Central 0

VICS moved closer to league leaders Moore Utd with a comprehensive win over a strong Broadheath side.

Harry Buckley opened the scoring when he rounded the keeper and slotted home.

A first-half sending off for Central saw Vics start to assert their dominance and they soon began to find their scoring touch.

Luke Heritage’s through ball on 75 minutes saw Alley Taylor race clear of the back line. His first effort was saved but Taylor gathered the rebound and prodded the ball home for Vics second. Jonny Haslam assisted Eddie Pattinson for the third.

The killer blow was struck when Haslam burst into the box and was hauled down by for a last-minute spot kick for Buckley buried to seal the victory.

Malpas 3 Lostock Gralam 3: Faltering Malpas got off to a slow start at home to Lostock and were 2-0 at half time.

Boss Robbie McWilliams was left seething by the abysmal performance and only the heroics of debutant goalkeeper Tristan Hill kept the score down.

A half-time hairdryer treatment from the Malpas boss rallied the home side together and the pulled one back from a well taken 20 yard free kick by Jack Oakden.

After poor defending conceded another Oakden floated over another free kick and found captain Simon Bradley at the far post to make it 3-2.

Malpas kept pushing and in the closing stages a cynical challenge by a Lostock defender saw a third set piece and the resultant free kick was headed back across goal and smashed in to the net by Danny Lloyd.
