Chester FC will be looking to build on their 3-1 midweek home success over Kidderminster Harriers this weekend when they make the trip to Hertfordshire to take on National League newcomers Boreham Wood.

The Blues could move into the top half of the table with three points at Meadow Park but will face a Wood side themselves coming off the back of a midweek success after they beat Bromley 2-1 on Tuesday.

We take a look at three players for the home side who could cause the Blues problems on Saturday.

Ricky Shakes

A name that may be familiar to some Chester fans through his previous connections with clubs including Bury and Kidderminster Harriers, 30-year-old winger Shakes one of the elder statesmen in the Wood side, having joined the club in 2013.

The former Trinidad & Tobago international, who has since represented Guyana in the Fifa 2014 World Cup Qualifiers, remains a tricky customer and has been a big part of Boreham Wood's success in recent times.

Brixton-born Shakes has bags of experience at both Football League and National League level and is one of the most potent creative forces that the hosts possess. He will be looking to exploit any weaknesses the Blues have at the back and out wide and Steve Burr's men will have to ensure they stifle his attempts to provide ammunition for the Wood front men.

Clovis Kamdjo

Midfielder Kamdjo is a player who has faced the Blues on a number of occasions having plied his trade in the National League with Barnet, Salisbury City and Forest Green Rovers.

He made the move to Meadow Park in the summer and has become an integral part of the first-team for the Wood, with the strong Cameroonian providing bite and physicality in the centre of the park.

The Blues have looked slightly lightweight in midfield in the absence of Luke George, but now the midfielder is back it will be his job to go to toe-to-toe with Kamdjo and ensure the Boreham Wood man doesn't boss orchestrate proceedings.

Junior Morias

Goals have been hard to come by this season for Boreham Wood and it is three strikes from Jamaican Morias that lead the way.

The 20-year-old was signed by the Wood last summer following his release from Wycombe Wanderers and formed a formidable partnership with Lee Angol last season in the Conference South.

With Angol's fine form rewarded with a move to the Football League with Peterborough United, Morias has been partnered with veteran striker Charlie MacDonald this season but remains Boreham Wood's biggest threat in the final third.

Pace and movement is the name of the game with Morias and he will be looking to exploit any pockets of space in the Blues back line. A physical tussle with Ian Sharps is likely out of the question but Morias can cause plenty of problems for Chester's defence.
