Chester FC Youth have netted a sponsorship deal for the 2014-15 campaign.

Swettenham Chemists have sponsored the team's kit for the coming season and it will be the company’s third season of support for  the community club.

Sponsorship began at the end-of-season awards in May 2012 when Swettenham’s bid to sponsor the ladies side, but ended up sponsoring the Colts team.

Ian Swettenham has been a loyal Chester fan over many years and he and his wife Dawn are keen to encourage people to take regular exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle.

Ian said: “The young men in this team are totally committed and we hope that this will inspire other people both young and old to get involved.

“Being out in the fresh air and interacting with people is a great way to stay healthy both mentally and physically.

“We wish the youth team every success as they start their new season.”

Youth team manager Calum McIntyre is delighted with Swettenham’s financial support.

He said:  “We are incredibly grateful for the support of the youth team from Swettenham Chemists.

“They have once again offered sponsorship for the youth team for the third successive season, having sponsored a playing strip for the Colts and a training kit for the youth team over the past two seasons.

“The money that we have received this season will be used to purchase a new playing strip for the coming season as well as allowing us to purchase complete new sets of training equipment and training and match balls.

“We rely massively on sponsorship to allow us to run our youth development programme and we are extremely appreciative of the support from Swettenham Chemists for the coming season.”
