INJURED Blues striker Michael Wilde will continue to run his soccer schools through the summer – with a little help from his friends.

The striker, who fractured his collarbone in Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat to Southport, admits he will not be able to take a ‘hands-on’ role in the weekly training sessions, which began this week at Blacon High School.

But he will be calling on his Chester FC teammates to come down and assist with coaching, ensuring the children who have signed up for the camps still get value for money.

“I don’t want to let the kids down so I’ll be there every day, but I’ll just be limited in what I do,” said Wilde, who will attend today’s prize-giving ceremony after missing yesterday’s session due to the painful injury he suffered the night before.

“I’m on some good pain-killers and I’ll be getting some of the Chester lads down to the sessions to help out.”

Wilde, who has his right arm in a sling and is unable to drive, has coaches on hand to make sure the training sessions run smoothly.

The Michael Wilde Soccer School is open to all children aged from six to 15. Three-day courses run throughout the summer at Blacon High.
