CHESTER FC captain George Horan will this week undergo a scan on his troublesome knee injury.

Blues boss Neil Young said after Saturday’s top-of-the-table loss to Hednesford Town that he needs to discover the extent of the problem.

Young, whose squad is down to the bare bones, added: "George has been playing on one leg. People are saying to me he’s not fit but at the end of the day we’ve got very little else because we’ve got injuries and suspensions.

"That’s football and George wants to play on but he’s got a knee problem which is not going to go away.

"He’s going to have a scan on Tuesday or Wednesday to see if he does need surgery."
