TWO more directors have joined the board of Chester FC.

Former Blues vice-chairman Mike Vickers and John Martin were co-opted on to the club’s board in a meeting at the Exacta Stadium on Tuesday night.

Vickers (pictured) and Martin were two of the four candidates who did not receive enough votes from supporters to win a place on the board in last month’s City Fans United election.

But the members of the new-look board have decided they require the duo’s expertise.

Both Vickers and Martin will be given specific roles in which they will be asked to use their relevant skills. It is thought that Martin, a life-long Chester supporter, will focus his attention on the club’s vital volunteer set up.

Councillor Noel O’Neill has been co-opted on to the board for a second term.
