MATTY McGinn will be handed his Chester FC debut tonight when FC United of Manchester arrive at the Exacta Stadium for the clash of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League big boys.

Blues boss Neil Young snapped up McGinn on an initial one month loan from Southport on Sunday and is likely to throw him into the starting line-up as his side bid to bounce back from their defeat at Hednesford Town.

Young indicated after Saturday’s match he may choose to rest Matty McNeil for the visit of FC United. However the big striker is expected to lead the line once again as Chester aim to do the double over Karl Marginson's men.

The Blues came out on top when the teams met in the Supporters Direct Cup last month. Although the clash was billed as a friendly, there was plenty of niggle and Young expects tonight’s encounter to be another hard-fought affair.

Young said: "It’s going to be a difficult game for us but I’m sure it’s going to be difficult for them too."

Midfielder Alex Brown has a bruised foot while captain and centre-back George Horan will continue to play through a painful thigh injury.
