Chester FC have confirmed George Thomson will spend a second month on loan with FC United of Manchester.

Thomson moved to Broadhurst Park in November and has been in fine form for the National League North outfit, netting three goals in five appearances.

He scored at the weekend in a 2-1 defeat to Gloucester City and in a 3-2 win over Nuneaton Town in the previous game. Thomson also netted in a 2-1 loss to AFC Telford United in the FA Trophy.

There was a chance he would return to Chester for the festive fixtures, however manager Steve Burr has opted not to recall the 23-year-old.

Luke George's return to fitness and the arrivals of Ryan Lloyd and Danny Hattersley on loan means the Blues are well covered in midfield and attack.
