Steve Burr cut a frustrated figure following the 3-0 defeat at Bromley on Saturday - and set out his intentions to ring the changes by bringing in some new signings.

Despite being satisfied with the performance, the Chester FC boss was left scratching his head over the personal mistakes that have blighted recent performances.

He will attempt to draft in some new faces via the loan market this week.

Burr said: "There's a point now where we try to bring some players in if we can. We can't carry on as like it is at the minute because players are struggling and it's not getting us the results.

"But we'll go again and we'll always try to improve the team. There might be opportunities this week but you can't just wave a magic wand and bring them in. These lads have had a fair opportunity and, for me, we need to add some fresh blood in there."

The Chester boss added: "We've let a lot of people down. The performance was good but when you've lost 3-0 it doesn't give you any satisfaction. I'd sooner us play awful (and win).

"Fans look at the result and we're awful... The mistakes we make are costing us. We're getting absolutely crucified for the mistakes we're making."
