Chester FC have been handed a home draw in the first round of the FA Trophy.

But the Blues must wait until the outcome of Tuesday night's replay between Barrow AFC and Stockport County to find out who they will face.

County twice came from a goal behind to earn a 2-2 draw in the third qualifying round tie at Holker Street on Saturday.

Barrow will travel to Edgeley Park for the replay on Tuesday, with the winner visiting the Swansway Chester Stadium in the first round on November 30.

The Blues' best run in the FA Trophy came in 2000/01 when the club reached the semi-finals.

Doncaster Rovers, St Albans City, Blyth Spartans and Southport were all defeated, setting up a two-legged clash with Canvey Island.

But the Blues, then under the control of Terry Smith, lost both legs 2-0.

Last season Chester were knocked out of the FA Trophy in the third qualifying round.

Nathan Jarman struck twice in a 2-2 home draw with Worksop Town but the Tigers went through after winning the replay 2-0.

In the previous season, Chester beat Stafford Rangers 2-0 and hammered North Ferriby United 5-1 to reach the second round, where they lost 3-2 to Ebbsfleet United.
