HOTSHOT James McIntosh’s sensational scoring streak continued on Sunday when he netted his sixth hat-trick in six games for Corner Pin LG.

The former Airbus UK Broughton striker, who now plays his Saturday football for Gap Connah’s Quay, helped himself to another five-goal haul as Pin progressed in the Chester & District Sunday League Dale Recycling Solutions Cup with a 6-3 success at FC Bull & Stirrup.

Kevin Langton completed the scoring for Pin, who would have had more had it not been for Bull goalkeeper and man of the match Chris Rixham. An Alan Jones treble for the hosts proved in vain.

AFC Lache (Kevin McGovern, Joey Waters, Jake Kelly, Declan McHugh) won 4-0 at home to higher-division AFC Werburgh’s, while Tarvin Rex also performed a second-round giant-killing act by winning 2-0 at home to Upton Youth Centre with super strikes from Shaun Roberts and Mat Kirkham. Tarvin keeper Sam Fellows saved a penalty.

Holders Saltney Ferry (Kevin Garland 2, William Dodd, OG) won 4-3 at Legends Sports Bar (Adam Cheers, Scott Chard 2) as Vicars Cross Dynamos (Nathan Mapletoft, Shaun Finch) triumphed 2-1 at Highfield Athletic (Sam Henry), for whom keeper Stuart Piercy saved a penalty.

Custom House cruised into round three with an 8-0 romp at home to Red Door. Simon Buzzard (2), Alex Grant, Alex Thomas, Tarquin Davies, Dale Harris, Elliot Slade and Andy Riddle did the damage.

Saltney Social Club (Adie Callaghan 3, Tom Shone, Sam Buckley, Lee Chesworth, Chris Mis) came from behind to win 7-2 at home to Spital Vaults (Andrew Whitton, Nathan Bradshaw).
