PEACOCK 09 and Cestrian Alex provided the shocks of the Chester & District League Roodee Web Designs Tom Gerraghty Memorial Trophy second round on Saturday.

Peacock were 4-2 winners at Premier Division leaders Kelma thanks to Dave Roberts, Joe Williamson, Sean Winter and Jamie Hughes.

Division One basement boys Cestrian Alex also accounted for top-flight opposition as they won 4-2 at home to Blacon Youth Club Highfield (Jacob Pryce, Tom, Harris) with a Richard Deponeo treble and Adi Gough single.

Holders Kelsall had no such problems as they cruised to a 3-0 victory at Lodge Bar.

Crossway edged their all-Premier Division tie at Saughall Thursday 1-0, a scoreline matched by Raby Villa at Division One rivals Duddon United.

Lache (Adi Callaghan 2, Sam Buckley) triumphed 3-1 at FC Village.

Waggon & Horses (Danny Davies 3, Danny Goodwin, Warren Roberts, Danny Barnes) were 6-0 first-round victors at home to Boughton Athletic.

Joining them in the second round are Tarvin 2000 Athletic (John Winter 2, Kevin Leach, John Lawrence, Jake Davies) following their 5-3 success at home to Arrowe Park. Also through are Cross Foxes after hat-trick hero Jamie McElwaine fired them to a 5-2 win at Orange Athletic.

There were also victories for Hoole Rangers (Lennox Beddows 4, Graham Righton), 5-2 at home to Uberlube, Lache 2nds (Jason Turner 2, Brian Rooney, Gary Day, Clint Weedon), 5-1 at home to Orange Athletic 2nds, Peacock 09 Reserves (Jay Sillett, Dan Christian), 2-0 away to Oldershaw, and Chester Celtic (Jamie Davies, Daniel Harrison), 2-1 at home to Groves.

Hoole Rangers Reserves, Crossway Reserves, Little Sutton Villa, Neston Nomads, Elton Rigger and Chester Nomads 3rds were among the teams to be knocked-out.
